Sookyung Kim is a multi-disciplinary artist who visualizes the inner workings of the human psyche by extending abstract expressions through the freeform style of East Asian painting. Based in the body and traversing through space, her work explores the depths of human consciousness. In her work, space remains absolute and irremovable even when emptied of all objects within. Navigating both two-dimensional and three-dimensional spaces, the exploration involves a holistic contemplation of women's lives, a confrontation with the autonomy of the individual, and an exploration of the essence of human nature. This process conveys a diverse exploration of life's values. Additionally, it explores ways to continuously break down and narrow the boundaries between Eastern and Western approaches to fine art.

The stories within the fairy tales unfold through various mediums. Leveraging the non-standard characteristics of fairy tales, writing, drawing, and 3D images transform into moving images, stop-motion animation, and digital collage. Existing objects' existence is erased, simultaneously freeing their conceptual boundaries and propelling them into a field of numerous possibilities.
